I’ve been messing around with Google Maps Engine today and found that even with lite version you can do some pretty cool stuff.

You can even make your data available publicly without Google authentication being required by the user through the Google Maps Engine API.

Here is a list of the majority of Irish Cattle Marts in Ireland that was knocked together in 30 mins today (hence the formatting and wee incongruences which I will fix tomorrow morning).
