Digital Agriculture – Technology and Attitudes Research Report

I was lucky to be given the opportunity to conduct the most comprehensive research on digital agricultural adoption on Irish farms and farmers’ attitudes toward digital tech.

Through funding provided by Skillnet Ireland and through the reach that the IFA provides, the report, ‘Digital Agriculture: Adoption and Attitudes,’ was completed and launched in December 2019. The research involved an extensive consultation with over 750 individual farmers, focus groups and key industry stakeholders.

Farmers and growers are the original innovators and inventors, even if they do not always realise it. In recent times, like almost every sector, the pace of change driven predominantly by technological advances, has been pretty revolutionary especially given the forced acceleration brought upon by Covid.
